Two events this week worthy of all you thrifty divas out there:
Those of you who know my alter-ego as the DCGF know how excited I am for Edited for Goodwill, a pop-up shop built by Gensler architects. I’m missing the big opening party, but you can shop from noon to 7 on August 1, 2, and 3.
I’ll definitely be there in the late afternoon on Wednesday, and probably around the same time on Friday, to take photos of lovely shoppers in their brand “new” Goodwill finds. For anyone who has ever lamented the difficulties of getting to Goodwill without a car—this one’s for you.
Then on Saturday, share the new outfit you got from Goodwill at the Yours/Mine Secondhand Soiree.
From creator Patrice: “At this event, you will have access to the fashionable closets of ten consigners!! These consigners will be selling a range of women’s new and gently used apparel and accessories; from high end couture, 1920’s vintage, classic professional staples, current trend and sportswear.”
There will be style consultants and a special cocktail, too. The event is free, but let them know you’re coming by registering online.
